BBC Sherlock Series 1 and 2 review

Can you imagine Sherlock Holmes in the 21st century? How about Sherlock sending tweets, Using a Blackberry and a Pink iPhone? Well if not read on...

Yay!

Anyway...

A few of my friends were raving about this show called "Sherlock". They were recommending this show A LOT. So i guess its ok. Then i forgot to look it up on the internet. Last tuesday i did not know what to do,Its the first day of school the next day and  i was really bored. (EXTREMELY BORED)

Seeing a post on tumblr reminded me of this show so i decided to look it up.

a decision i will never regret...

BBC's Sherlock

Sherlock is a modern interpretation of the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.(No Shit Sherlock)

Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) according to himself is a "Consulting Detective" a job he invented for himself. He dosent get paid or anything, He just likes to solve these "Puzzles"

Though set in modern times, This show still retains key factors of  Sherlock from the books

221b baker street,Mrs Hudson.Baker street irregulars(homeless network) and of course his arch nemesis Moriarty

I cant write too much about the stories because they are such nice adaptations of their book counterparts, that if i spoil you by just one bit ill ruin the experience. This show believe me is really good.

Written by Steven Moffat (Doctor Who)

Benedict Cumberbatch's acting is consistent. He really embodies Sherlocks quirks and genius.

and now the comparisons with Robert Downey Jr.'s Portrayal of Sherlock Homes

RDJ's Portrayal and how the character was writen was good. RDJ really made the character a bit more interesting to people not quite fond of detective stories

Benedict's Portrayal is great. You will find him funny at times because of his quirkiness, And on scenes that are a bit more serious you will believe that this man is a genius. Really great acting.

So obviously i'm siding with Benedict Cumberbatch's portrayal(no shit sherlock)

other points worth noticing

• I am really fond of the editing. REALLY great editing i tell you
• They turn the stories relatable to THIS generation.
• Sherlock talks REALLY fast. You will have to pay attention
• General difference between the 2 series (seasons) is in series 2 they are famous (Watson blogs about the cases)
• Only 3 Episodes per series (90mins each not too bad)
• Moriarty is a PSYCHO

This show will make you want to develop your deductive skills
